Censornet, a leading provider of cloud security solutions, has today announced that Gartner, Inc. has named it as a Niche Player in its October 2018 Magic Quadrant for Cloud Access Security Brokers report for the second year. First compiled in 2017, this is the second Magic Quadrant focussed on cloud access security brokers (CASBs), with vendors positioned based on ability to execute and completeness of vision.

“Over the last two years, adoption of cloud solutions has skyrocketed and new CASB vendors have materialised in an effort to help tackle the ever-growing threats organizations face. Despite this, we’ve retained our position within Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Cloud Access Security Brokers and remain the only European headquartered vendor in this report, which we believe speaks volumes about the efficacy of our solution,” said Ed Macnair, CEO, Censornet.

“As the cloud market continues to grow, we’ve focussed on innovation in order to provide solutions that solve real problems. Many vendors focus their efforts on large enterprise organizations, but we know that businesses of all shapes and sizes are a target for attackers and need access to the same levels of protection. We believe that all businesses, whether large enterprises or SMEs, should have accessible solutions to help manage and secure their ever-growing cloud infrastructure. We pride ourselves on our ability to adapt quickly to the changing cloud threats facing businesses and create innovative product features that address these, something that is not always possible for larger vendors in our space.”

Censornet first released its cloud-based CASB solution in April 2015 to complement its existing email and web security products. Today, its unified and multi-layered approach to securing the cloud via its purpose built, multi-functional cloud security platform delivers integrated web security, email security, CASB and adaptive multi-factor authentication. This provides organisations with security-focused visibility and control over user access, data and assets and allows organizations to address the cyber security, audit, compliance and productivity issues associated with the use of cloud applications.
