Censornet has been shortlisted in four categories at the Computing Security Excellence Awards. The announcement follows a competitive review of all the entrants by an expert panel of judges. The categories include ‘Email Security’, ‘SME Security Solution’, ‘Cloud Security’ and ‘Security Innovation of the Year’. It caps off an excellent year for Censornet, having already received praise in awards run by five other industry bodies.

Censornet received its nominations for the ‘Cloud Security’ and ‘Security Innovation of the Year’ awards as a result of its work with the National Portrait Gallery. The gallery deployed Censornet’s Unified Security Service to defend against data breaches and has achieved its Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essential Plus certification as a result. Censornet was also shortlisted in the ‘SME Security Solution’ category, for its industry-first Autonomous Security Engine (ASE), and in the ‘Email Security’ category, for its advanced Email Security Solution.

The Security Excellence awards are run by Computing, one of the UK’s most read and prestigious technology media outlets. They cover every element of success within the security landscape, from education to email, aiming to highlight the achievements of the IT industry’s leading security companies, solutions, products and personalities.

Ed Macnair, CEO of Censornet, said: “We are always delighted to be recognised for awards and being a finalist in four categories is an outstanding achievement. It marks the end of an extremely successful year for us and provides an excellent lead into the next one. This is an exciting time in the company’s history and an opportunity to praise the hard work of the team.

“It is our ability to solve our customers’ pain points with the capabilities in our consolidated platform that underpins everything that we do. We are therefore delighted that both our email and cloud security solutions have been shortlisted. At the same time, being nominated for ‘Security Innovation of the Year’ is a testament to our ability as a company to be at the forefront of the latest security technology and deliver the benefits of innovation to our clients.”

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in London on Thursday 21st November.
